Fulton County DA says she will make a decision in the Trump investigation this summer

Fani Willis, the Georgia Fulton County District Attorney, has announced in a letter to local law officials that she will make an announcement in her investigation into former US president Donald Trump this summer, between July 11th and September 1st.

This news comes after much speculation in the Georgia case, and Trump’s arraignment in Manhattan, New York in an unrelated case.

District Attorney Willis is investigating Trump’s interference in the 2020 Georgia presidential election results.

She is seriously considering bringing racketeering and conspiracy charges against the disgraced ex- president.

In her letter to the Sheriff of Fulton County, Patrick Labat, Willis notes that there could be potential “violence”, based on open-source intelligence. She says, “Please accept this correspondence as notice to allow you sufficient time to prepare the Sheriff’s Office and coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure that our law enforcement community is ready to protect the public.”

According to CNN, a police chief in Metro Atlanta also received a letter from District Attorney Willis, asking them to prepare to assist with security and law enforcement.
