In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful, the Truthful and the Most Just: Who came to North America in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad and raised, or taught, and sent the Honorable Elijah Muhammad to find and raise and teach me:
I greet all of you who are hungry and thirsty for the Truth of religion and the Word of God, and for Truth in general, with the greeting words of peace:
May Allah’s-Salaam-Alaikum.
Now before we get into our subject matter for this evening, We want to give those who have questions or something that they want me to address: you may avail yourself of that opportunity at this time.
The subject matter of Christmas and the Christmas tree: that cutting of the tree, and standing it up goes back to a pagan ritual; but there’s a greater significance that I gained out of looking at the Christmas tree.
You know, that’s the one thing about being faithful and obedient to your father and your mother, even when parents teach you something that is not actually or completely accurate.
I’ll show you an example: The Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s father was a Baptist preacher. His father worshiped and preached Christianity, and as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, when he was a child, he used to love to hear people preach, but he didn’t like to hear the singing. When they’d start singing, it would make him cry. [smiles] And his grandmama took him out and put a spanking on him, and he learned to stop crying when the singing started.
But as one of his sons said, when his dad was a small boy—It’s kind of like when Yakub was six years old, and He learned who he was. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad told his mother’s mother, which was his grandmother, that when he grew up, he was going to be a preacher like his daddy. He said, “But I’m not going to preach what my dad is preaching.”
He was just a youngster. But what his dad did was somewhat inspirational to him. And he said that as he got older, he’d be sitting down in the audience, and his daddy would be preaching, and he got to the point where he looked directly at him while he was preaching; because he knew he was going to take up his sermon with him when he came off the rostrum.
When church was over, he’d go up to his daddy and ask him questions about his sermon. One day, he said he heard his daddy–I know I shared this with you all before, but some people are new here. He heard his daddy telling his mama, “You know, that boy gets on my nerves.”
His mama told his daddy, “Well, why don’t you answer what he’s asking?”
Then his daddy would laugh and say, “That boy is something, I’m telling you.”
Well, I understand now far more than I understood the first time I read it, why Jesus said in Luke 16:9,
And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness;
You see, if I had never been in Christianity, how could I make judgments about something that I didn’t understand? Do you see my point? How could I judge any of you if I hadn’t been afflicted with what you’ve been afflicted with?
That comes right back to something that I learned in this society: that a person, a man or woman, has a right to be judged by a jury or jurist that is their peer.
Do you remember the song that says, “Before you accuse, criticize, or abuse me, you walk a mile in my shoes and let’s see how you handle it.”
So as I look back at the experience of oppression and mistreatment of us by White people: Why did God let that happen, and why did He ordain that Abraham’s seed go into bondage for 400 years? He said in Genesis 15:13,
And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
Well there’s a little hint right there. In all of their affliction, He (the Lord Himself) was afflicted. Isaiah 63:9 says,
In all their affliction he was afflicted…
Matthew 18:7 says,
Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
Why? He’s the son of perdition. [There’s] no hope of salvation for him. But who can be saved then? With men, it is impossible; but with God, all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 says,
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
So We put that job on him. He had no choice in it, not really. Even when he questioned his Maker, he said in the Holy Quran 15:39,
My Lord, as Thou hast judged me erring, I shall certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on earth, and I shall cause them all to deviate [because you judged me to be the devil],
“You judged me to be erring. You made me this way.”
And his Maker surprised him and told him in verse 41,
This is a right way with Me [for you].
So when the devil was being the devil, he was doing the will of God.
You say, “That’s strange.”
Well, it’s backed up. The Lord asked Satan, “Hey, have you considered Job over there? Have you tested him?” Job 1:8 says,
And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Then Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tested by the devil. Matthew 4:1 says,
Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
So, the only One who the devil was told, “don’t test him” is the Lord. Why? “Because he’s my Lord and your Lord.”
You’re not my peer, so how in the world are you going to test me? I know more than you. How are you going to test me? My thoughts are not your thoughts.
Now let’s get back to why I brought that father and mother up. Just as you have a father and mother physically, I also had a father and mother spiritually. This world has been my mother for the past 6000 years, so I had to honor [her].
As the Messenger (the Honorable Elijah Muhammad) said, “If God gave way to them to rule, then you are honoring a ruler. Then honor and respect the man.”
And so, I did that. In so doing, I learned a lot. I didn’t learn what he thought I should learn. I learned what Allah wanted me to learn from watching him and then looking deep into what he was doing, because the devil didn’t create anything. He hasn’t created a thing. Everything he has, God gave to him. And if God gave it to him, it’s a lesson in it somewhere. All things were made by him, for him. Colossians 1:16 says,
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
See, this world was made by Allah through White people and all these little mischief- making rascals that came from us; but it was made for me.
So, let’s get to the Christmas tree. Now you’ll notice, the Christmas tree is an evergreen. That is a sign.
When winter and spring comes (winter, spring, summer, fall), the evergreen stays green all the time. Now what does the Scripture say? Malachi 3:6 says,
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
See, there’s something in the creation that will bear witness that even though many things change, some things, as the Lord himself, does not change. The Truth does not change. The Truth is still the Truth, just depending on what level you are at as to how the connection of the Truth connects to your level. It’s evergreen.
So you’ll notice, the Christmas tree looks like a round pyramid. It starts big at the base, and works its way up to smaller. When you get up to the top, it has one branch sticking up at the top of it.
They call it a “Christmas” tree. Why?
I’m trying to show you what I got out of it. This isn’t something that White folks taught me about. This is what I got out of what I was looking at.
The sun’s light doesn’t just hit things and bounce off. Some of the sun’s light hits things and manifests those things, but some of the sun’s light just goes straight through into the depths of those things.
So the Messenger (the Honorable Elijah Muhammad) told me, “Allah has made you (Son of Man) a teacher who sees into the depths of things.”
So look at this 70th chapter of the Holy Quran. It says,
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1 A questioner asks about the chastisement to befall
2 The disbelievers — there is none to avert it —
3 From Allah…
“A questioner asks about the chastisement to befall the disbelievers. There is none to avert it from Allah.”
Remember, the Prophet Mohammed said that when people would be seeking an intermediary or a mediator between them and God, and they would go to the Prophets, and the Prophets would tell them, “No, I have never seen my Lord so angry. I’m worried about myself, I’m not worried about you. I’m worried about me.”
“There is none to avert the chastisement of thy Lord.”
You notice, I throw people in hell. If he wasn’t in hell, he wouldn’t be coming back in here. No, you’re there. And every time you open your mouth, it shows that Truth has left you. He comes in here and asks me if I threw what he had away, after he threw what I had offered him away. Wasn’t that a stupid thing to ask me?
But anyway, that’s what hell will do for you. See, hell is misunderstanding. If you don’t believe misunderstanding is hell, then you watch a train coming and then right before it gets there, step on the tracks and see if misunderstanding isn’t hell.
Yeah, misunderstanding gets you hell, boy. That is the hell. That’s why God said He would turn them over to a reprobate mind. Romans 1:28 says,
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
A reprobate mind is a mind that does not go straight: A mind that twists and perverts and misrepresents reality. And when you are detached from reality, they call you “insane”. The whole world now is on the brink of insanity. The Holy Quran chapter 70 says,
1 A questioner asks about the chastisement to befall
2 The disbelievers…
“A questioner asks about the chastisement to befall the disbelievers.”
Disbelievers in who? Disbelievers in what? In the Son of Man.
You see, the Scriptures themselves are the Son of Man. But you couldn’t be called a disbeliever or a believer in it until it was opened to you.
The understanding had to be opened to you like I’m doing. John 15:22 says,
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they would not have had sin, because they would not have had the knowledge of sin or that they were transgressing God’s commands; but now that I’m explaining the commands of God to you, you have no excuse. So the Holy Quran 70:2 says,
2 …There is none to avert it —
3 From Allah, Lord of the ways of Ascent.
Now you notice, the pyramid is generally steps. There’s some steps in it, not all the way around it. Some of them have steps that go up and other parts of it are smooth, but there is a staircase, and the staircase is leading up to the capstone (the head of the corner).
Look at the Christmas tree now. The Christmas tree is like a pyramid, only round, and all of its branches get shorter as you’re going up, forming a cone shape leading up to the top of it where they place a star at the top of it. And when you put the star on it, then it’s like putting the capstone on a pyramid. Psalms 118:23 says,
This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
Well, who was made the Lord of the earth? Man. And who puts the star on top of the Christmas tree? The one who decorated it. Man. “This is man’s doing, or the Lord’s doing, and it’s marvelous in our eyes.”
You step back and look at it and say, “Boy, that tree is so pretty.”
Okay, the Christ mass tree. Keep up now. I’m trying to show you that you aren’t going to get this from White people or any other people. You’re going to get this from me or you aren’t getting it.
You know what happens in the Catholic religion? They have what is called Mass. The Pope holds Mass. I don’t know how many times a year he does it, but at some point, he holds Mass with all of the Catholics from everywhere. If that’s not the case, you can correct me. I’m not into all of the intricate ceremonies of the Catholic church, but I have seen on TV where the Pope was talking to millions of people and he held Mass with them.
And so Christ’s Mass is what I’m holding with the family tree of life. Jesus said in John 6:62,
What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
Well then, that is to say, “back up where he was before”. Verse 63 says,
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
It is the mind that’s in him. The spirit. John 3:6 says,
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
The mind that’s in me is born of the spirit. It is the mind that quickeneth, or the spirit that quickeneth. John 6:63 says,
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Now we get into the tree of life. The Messengers of God were the family tree and are the family tree of life: the Christ’s Mass tree. What is it? You picked up your microphone. Does someone have a question?
Engineer: No sir, he doesn’t have a question.
Son of Man: Well then, if he doesn’t have any questions, I don’t need him to chime in. I don’t need anything from you, but your attention. Read what he had to say, because I’m just about sick and tired of people like this.
Engineer: Yes sir. His screenname is “QOFFICIAL 17”, and he says, “You are a false prophet.”
Son of Man: Now you are sentenced to hell. To hell with you. If you think I’m false, why didn’t you just leave?
Since you didn’t want to come in here and confront me, you get out of my face and get out of the face of the people that are trying to learn something. To hell with you. Amen, amen, and amen.
So now, the Messengers of God are the Family Tree of Life, because as Jesus defined life in John 6:63, he said,
…The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Well then, if Jesus brought the Word of God, then Jesus is a member of the Family Tree of Life that’s in the midst of the garden.
Let’s see here. It is very important that you know this. I want you to now go to the 30th chapter of the Holy Quran.
What did I offer people if they could prove that I was teaching other than the Truth?
Engineer: You offered $75,000 and your life.
Son of Man: You notice that he didn’t ask me for any money?
Engineer: Yes sir.
Son of Man: Now tell me something: What is the law in his world, in this society, when you accuse a person of anything?
Engineer: The person has the right to face their accuser.
Son of Man: And what else? That’s not a trick question. What does the law say?
Engineer: They have to swear out a complaint.
Son of Man: Well that’s part of it too, but what does the law say about your accusation on another person?
See, I told you. I’ve been living in the world and I’ve been paying attention. When you accuse a person, it is not actually up to that person to defend themselves. It’s up to you.
The burden of proof is on the accuser, and if you didn’t have any proof, you didn’t have a right to bring them into court, and you will wind up paying court costs and whatever inconvenience you caused that person for even bringing that up.
Now if you want to come in here accusing me, you better have your proof. I’m not judging you by my book. I’m judging you by yours. The burden of proof is on the accuser. You have to be able to prove what you say about people.
Newspapers were held to that standard. You can print whatever story you want as long as you can prove that it’s true. They have gotten away from that now. That’s why their civilization is falling; but that was the right way. If you can’t prove it, don’t accuse. Suspicion doesn’t get it, because most suspicion is sin.
Now turn to the 30th chapter of the Holy Quran and look at this. I’m going to start at the 41st verse. “A transformation.” Listen good now, because that’s what I’m here to do for you. I’m here to transform you.
This is from the Book of Romans the 12th chapter and the 1st and 2nd verses. It says,
I beseech you therefore, brethren [that’s talking to all people], by the mercies [or Scriptures] of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice…
What’s the whole duty of man?
Engineer: To fear God and keep His commandments.
Son of Man: Well if you are going to keep God’s commandments, you have to put your desires and your self aside, and find out what God wants you to do. You are going to present your body a living sacrifice. Then it says,
1 …A living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
What kind of people serve? What kind of people do service? Servants. That’s who. But anyway, it says,
2 And be not conformed [be not consciously formed] to this world:
In other words, be not orthodox. It says,
…But be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind [in other words, by being born again], that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Now go back to the 30th chapter of the Holy Quran and verse 41. The title of it is “Section 5: A Transformation”. Isn’t that something? Now it says,
Corruption has appeared in the land and the sea on account of [meaning, because of] that which men’s hands have wrought [have made or produced, have worked on and brought into existence], that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, so that they may return [to the Truth, instead of to their own ambitions and their own guidance and their own thoughts].
Return to their duty, which is to fear God and keep His commandments. As to say, “O Allah , I’m thinking about doing this. Should I do it?”
Now that you have a guide here, you have a guide to tell you whether you should do it or not. “Guide us on the right path.” Well that’s what I’m here doing. It says,
42 Say Travel in the land, then see what was the end of those before. Most of them were polytheists [believers in more than one God].
That’s why they could ignore the Holy Scriptures. When some of the plain verses are recited to them, they’ll ignore it. They say, “Yeah, well to you is yours and me is mine.” That’s what they’ll say. “You go to your church and I’ll go to mine.”
What is that? “Go to your God and I’ll go to my God.” That’s what they tell you.
So you believe there’s more than one God, do you? Wait and see. That’s what a “polytheist” is: Somebody who believes that there is more than one God. That’s why the Word of God doesn’t mean anything to them. So then it says,
43 Then set thyself, being upright, to the right religion before there come from Allah the day which cannot be averted: on that day they will be separated.
Be careful that your breath doesn’t depart from your body permanently. It says,
44 Whoever disbelieves will be responsible for his disbelief;
What did I tell you all? You aren’t responsible for anybody but yourself. Didn’t I tell you that?
If you disbelieved in me, that was your disbelief. You can’t blame that on anybody. You are going to try, but it isn’t going to work, because I talk to everybody. You even hear children, babies, in my class asking questions.
I’m just like the sun. Even the baby, when he walks outside, he can see. You don’t have to tell him it’s daylight out there. He’ll tell you. Ask him, “Is it daylight out there?” And he’ll say, “Yes sir, yes ma’am.” They know what time it is. So it says,
Whoever disbelieves will be responsible for his disbelief; and whoever does good, such prepare (good) for their own souls,
2nd Corinthians 5:10 says,
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Now do you see how the Holy Quran reminds you of these things? Then the Holy Quran 30:45 says,
45 That He may reward out of His grace…
As the Book says in John 1:14,
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Holy Quran 30:45 says,
45 That He may reward out of His grace those who believe and do good. Surely He loves not the disbelievers.
All of you running around here falling in love with people that don’t believe, you better be careful. It says,
46 And of His signs is this, that He sends forth the winds bearing good news…
Tell me something: Do you know of anyone that can speak without breath coming out of their mouth? Have you ever tried to speak without breathing out?
You see when people can’t catch their breath, and they’ll be trying to say something and can’t say anything. Why? Because the sound that you want to make has to have a wave to travel on. A wave is moisture. Sound is caused by objects passing through atmosphere that has moisture in it. If they sucked all the fluid from behind your eardrum, you couldn’t hear anything. So anyway, let’s go back to this. It says,
And of His signs is this, that He sends forth the winds bearing good news…
What did Jesus bring? He brought good news. It’s called “gospel”. That’s what “gospel” means. It means “good news”. It says,
…And that He may make you taste of His mercy…
Why a taste? What is a taste? It’s just a little bit. Have you ever cooked something and told somebody, “Here, taste this” and you give them a spoon of it? They say, “Oh, that’s good” or “No, I don’t like that”. Just a little taste. That’s what the Prophets gave you: a taste of the good news of the Kingdom of God. He gave it to them in a measure, but He gave it to me without measure.
You see how I come on here everyday and don’t ever run out of anything to teach. So it says,
…That He may make you taste of His mercy, and that the ships may glide by His command…
You notice, you have ships out at sea and you have ships on land. They are called relationships. I didn’t hear you. The Holy Quran 28:51 says,
And certainly We have made the Word to have many connections [many meanings]…
The Holy Quran 30:46 says,
…And that you may seek of His grace, and that you may be grateful [when he guides you].
The Holy Quran 30:47 says,
47 And certainly We sent before thee messengers to their people…
Now let’s talk about the lights on the Christmas tree. You notice, when you decorate the Christmas tree, you decorate it with all types of silvery, shiny stuff, and you put lights all over it. When I was growing up, you could go buy a string of colored lights, and you put the lights all over the tree after you’ve put the angel hair and everything on there. I used to hate that angel hair. When that stuff gets on you, boy, you’d be itching for days. [smiles]
But anyway, they decorate it all out, and they turn that tree on and stick it in the window; and at night, everybody could see the trees lit up in the window.
At night, everybody on different continents saw the teachings and doctrines of Prophets being misrepresented, but they saw those Prophets like lights on the Christmas tree whether they were yellow, brown, or white, or black.
All people have had Messengers of God sent to them. That’s what the different color lights mean. Even though the lights were all different colors, they were all lit by the same electricity. And even though the Prophets may have been different colors and may have been different nationalities, they were all sent by the one God. All of them brought the Truth, and that’s what made them shine above all other people.
They were the head of all people. When Allah lit that candle, He put it on a candlestick and let it shine throughout that dark house that He lit that candle in: That dark nation, that ignorant people.
Now the whole world is ignorant. Now the Lord Himself comes. Not a candle, but the Sun. And so, the day star has now appeared and is rising in some of your hearts, you who opened up your heart to me. The rest, they’re being left behind. 2nd Peter 3:19 says,
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
The man came in here and called me a false prophet, and I’m reading right out of the Scriptures. He didn’t give a damn what I was reading out of, because he doesn’t believe in the Scriptures.
He’s used to going on those sites, listening to liars, and he’ll say “amen” with them. Then he comes in here and listens to the Truth and he has a problem with that. You didn’t have to put him out. I don’t care about him staying and listening. Let him stay in hell and let him listen. Maybe he’ll figure out a way to come out of hell. But in order to do that, the camel has to go through the eye of the needle, and you know how that happens.
So anyway, you see that the Christmas tree represents the Family Tree of the Messengers of God. And who is the Family Tree of God? Jesus told you who the Family Tree is. When they came to Jesus and told him that his mother and his brethren were outside and wanted to speak with him, this is how Jesus responded. Turn to the 12th chapter of Matthew and I’m going to start at the 46th verse. It says,
46 While [Jesus] yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without [meaning on the outside], desiring to speak with him [Jesus].
47 Then one said unto him [Jesus], Behold [look], thy mother and thy brethren stand without [outside], desiring to speak with thee [wanting to speak with you].
48 But he [Jesus] answered and said unto him that told him [that], Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Then all of the Prophets were one family. They were one family tree, and now I’m pulling together the Christ Mass tree: The Christmas Family Tree.
You’ll notice, “Christmas” is two words: “Christ” and “Mass”; and when you have Mass, you gather them together.
So I’m gathering all of the Messengers of God together, just like the Book says. And I’m gathering you together with them and taking you to where they are. In the clouds.
The clouds are the Books. Jesus called the word, “water”. Well, you know clouds are water vapor. Well then, Books are water vapor spiritually.
So I’m gathering you into the clouds, the Scriptures, with me and the Family Tree of Life (the Messengers of God). It tells you that. Matthew 25:31 says,
When the Son of man shall come in his glory [in His body that was prepared for Him]…
We are going to get to Noel in a little while. You notice, Noel is actually two words: No and El. El is Hebrew. In Hebrew, “El” means “God”. “No God”. Isaiah 43:10 says,
Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
So I’m the first God (Granter of Dominion) formed. The firstborn.
“No” also has a meaning of “the first born”.
“Come and behold Him, born the King of Angels.”
Yes. I’m the Lord of Men, the King of Men, the God of Men. And so, in the 16th chapter of Revelation and the 15th verse, it says,
Behold, I come as a thief.
What did Jesus tell you? He told you about my coming. Jesus warned you in the 24th chapter of Matthew. After telling you that “as it was in the days of Noah”, he said in the 36th verse,
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
You know, there are many fields. When you hear talk about fields, you may be thinking that it’s talking about only a farm or something; but, no, there are many fields. The field of science, the field of medicine, the field of law. There are many fields. Verse 40 says,
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief [the devil] would come…
Your enemy the Devil came for to steal, to kill and to destroy. 1st Peter 5:8 says,
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
John 10:10 says,
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
Who stole this country from the Native American? The Devil did. Who came and stole us from Africa and put us in slavery? The Devil did. If we had known who it was that came, he couldn’t have snuck up on us. So Matthew 24:43 says,
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
And you sure weren’t expecting me. That’s why you’re coming in here accusing me, the Lord of everybody, of being a false prophet. You haven’t heard me say anything that was false. So in the 16th chapter of Revelation and the 15th verse,
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth [like Jesus told you to do]…
Well how are you going to watch if you don’t even know where [you should be] looking?
It’s a mighty poor soldier, or marine, or airman, or sailor that doesn’t know what direction to be looking on guard duty. That’s rough.
Where do you watch for the coming of the Lord? The Book told you to look up.
Well, let’s see here. I know you haven’t been there in Washington, but you’ve seen it in the movies: When a man asked a question, another one told him, “Look, that’s above your pay grade. You don’t have clearance for that.”
He’s trying to look up, but they won’t let him look in. So when something is above your understanding, then you have to look up. How many times have you said, “I wonder what that word means”, and they say, “Well you better look it up”? Is that right?
Okay, well look up for your redemption. Luke 21:28 says,
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Your Redeemer is drawing near. Who is the Redeemer? The man who can come and take away the lies that you’ve been taught by this world, and gives you the Truth, and the world has to shut their mouth at him. That’s me.
Do you know why that sorry individual was pecking away at typewriter keys? Because he’s scared to face me. Damn coward.
You know, you can’t help but be a coward when you don’t have the Truth, and there’s a man standing up there with the Truth. There’s no defense against the Truth. You either submit or you’re condemned. Revelation 16:15 says,
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments…
What did the Scripture say? Ecclesiastes 12:13 says,
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
His commandments are to your brain as clothes are to your body. They are the garments that you should keep on your mind. And if you had kept the Scriptures in memory, you would recognize me. You’d know that I’m the One that the Scripture has been telling you about. Then it says,
…Lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Now how do you think that man felt after you read what he had to say and I threw him in hell? Then Revelation 16:16 says,
And he gathered them together…
Now what is Christ’s Mass? The gathering together, and I couldn’t have gathered you together if I didn’t have a Christmas tree. I had to have the Family Tree in order to get you to come to me.
So I have the Tree, and I’m the star on top of the Tree. The head of Christ is God. And so it says,
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
The Word (arm of the Lord) is not short that it cannot save. The Word of God never falls short.
Your reach is the extent of your arm. God’s reach is the extent of His Word; and His Word can reach everybody: From the highest mountain to the lowest valley, the Word of God can reach you. And it says,
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air [so that you could meet the Lord in the air];
Remember Thessalonians chapter 4 verse 16? It says,
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain [faithful] shall be caught up together with them in the clouds [in the Scriptures], to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
I’m on the air now. It’s kind of hard to argue with (to kick against the pricks), isn’t it? Yeah, brother. You have sandals on. You don’t want to kick against anything sharp.
So Allah has made me sharp, man. All these arguments I’ve been having for the past 50 years have made me sharp. I’ve been arguing longer than some of you all have been in the world. There aren’t too many arguments I haven’t heard. There aren’t too many insults that I have not taken off of you.
Well, I’m sick of your insults now. From now on, if you come in here throwing insults at me, hell is where you are going to wind up. You better tell that to the people that you know who sit up talking about they’re going to come in here and tell me about myself and all that. Don’t you come in here with that.
I have never seen people passing sentence on you before they render a judgment. How are you going to have a judgment if you didn’t have a hearing? And how are you going to have a hearing when you didn’t present any evidence?
You better keep your mouth off of me. I have not done an atom’s weight of evil to any of you. Every time you look up, I’m showing you some good works that I’ve done. You aren’t showing me anything but your sorry behind.
You sit up and lie and say, “I’m with you, I’m with you”.
The next thing you know, they’re gone. I don’t desert my people. The Holy Quran 25:29 says,
…And the devil ever deserts man.
I wasn’t a deserter when I was in the Marine Corps. When I got tired of it and [decided] that I wasn’t going to do it any more, I went and told him. I didn’t slip out. I went straight to the colonel after I got myself written up, and he asked me what my problem was. I told him I want out. I said, “I can’t do this anymore. You [might] as well let me out, because I’m not going to do anything else you all tell me.”
I told him that to his face. It wasn’t from any outside influence either. It was me who made up my mind.
I didn’t slip in and I wasn’t going to slip out. I came through the front door, and that’s the way I left. If I make up my mind about something, it’s made up.
I made up my mind about the Honorable Elijah Muhammad back in 1973. Actually [it was] in November or December of 1972, and I haven’t changed my mind since.
A bunch of hypocrites [who] just lie. Good riddance. I’m not going to miss you. You weren’t doing anything when you were here. So I’m not going to miss you.
I’m not a user. If I can’t carry my load, if I can’t carry my weight, I’m not going to burden you. You have never known me to stand up and beg you.
I’m the Lord. I don’t have any business begging anybody, and I don’t want you out there representing me begging people.
If people get off wrong with you, tell them. Be respectful, but tell them. Don’t try to judge them: just tell them, “I don’t go that way. I’m not going to do that. Let’s just do our jobs together and leave that alone. No hard feelings. I mean, you have the right to choose the lifestyle that you live. There’s no compulsion in religion.”
That’s the way I talk to people. I’m not running around here trying to force my way on anybody. The only ones I force my way on are the people that I have to feed, clothe, and shelter: That’s my children. Then I tell them what I want, when I want it, and how I want it done; then when they get old enough, hopefully they won’t depart from the guidance that I gave them when I was rearing them.
But when they reach the point where they make their own decisions, I’m through arguing with them. Don’t jump up in my face, calling yourself arguing with me. If you think you know better than me, it’s a big, wide world out there. Go to it. See if you can do better than me.
I have yet to meet somebody that I envy. I have nothing to envy anybody for. If you don’t have sense enough to appreciate me, well you don’t deserve me. That’s the way I figure.
Now let me see, Christ’s Mass is Christ’s Christmas Tree. That’s enough on that.
So now you know what I got out of the Christmas tree and Christmas. You know, I see things differently than anybody else because I’m a new creature. One new man.
May Allah’s-Salaam-Alaikum.
